Again this year Gitte and Steen Hagensen hosted our traditional Sankt Hans Party in their beautiful “backyard”.
Over 100 people came out to celebrate the Danish Midsummer.
We were very lucky as the Sandy Springs Fire Department approved our application for a BONFIRE, so it couldn’t be more Danish…

On top of it, we had a heavy rain, which made it even more Danish.
As per tradition the food was delicious homemade burgers and salads. Furthermore our newly reopened Danish Delight Bakery provided sweets.
There were organized games for the children and DSV provided the moonwalk. Everyone had a great time.

Due to the rain the witch and the bonfire was not easy to fire up, but luckily we were at the home of the exhaust experts, so after few attempts we succeeded and had a beautiful bonfire.
This was exactly the right setting for the Danish Midsommer Sangen. And most important we had the pleasure to welcome several new faces at the DACC, and we hope everyone enjoyed themselves and want to come back for future events.
An event like this is a lot of work, and I want to extend a huge THANK YOU to all our sponsors and volunteers who helped us organize this amazing event.
We reached out and asked for your help, and we had indeed many helping hands, and I’m indeed thankful for the positive response we received – without all of you it wouldn’t have been possible to create this wonderful evening for DACC; our members and friends.
I want to use the opportunity to mention our sponsors – don’t forget to support them !
