Skoleskibet Danmark Honorary Consul of Denmark Chris Smith Skoleskibet Danmark
The 76 year old Danish Training ship, "The Danmark" docked in Charleston, South Carolina August 11-14 during

her 95th voyage.The evening of August 11th, Brad Waring, the Honorary Consul of the Kingdom of Denmark to

the Carolina's hosted an on board welcoming reception for Captain Andersen and the crew.

The same was attended by business and political leaders from the State of South Carolina and Christopher N. Smith,

the Honorary Consul of the Kingdom of Denmark to the State of Georgia.

 

The ship was open to the public for viewing on August 12th and 13th and drew over 1200 visitors.

Thereafter, the Danmark departed for Baltimore for her second stop in the US before returning home to Denmark.
